Become a Mentor

If you have 70 minutes to invest each week and a willingness to listen and encourage others, then please consider becoming a volunteer mentor.

There is huge demand from schools for mentors to provide ongoing support to students who need a little extra help to negotiate life, school and family.

Training and support is provided.

Kitchen or Breakfast Volunteer

Volunteers are always needed to help with our school meals programs, making and serving food, connecting with students and cleaning. This generally takes an hour.

We also need support in the Devonport kitchen where fresh food is prepared.

Raising funds for Devonport Chaplaincy is an effective way of helping people in need and is limited only by your imagination.

Simple fundraising events include:

Organising a breakfast, lunch, dinner, high tea or barbecue and charging guests to attend, with proceeds going to chaplaincy.

Asking friends and family to give a donation to Devonport Chaplaincy in lieu of birthday, Christmas, anniversary presents, or instead of flowers at a funeral.

Talk to our community partnerships manager Paul O'Rourke about your event.

Attend an Event

We host various fundraising events throughout the year to support our work, raise awareness of the need in our State, and celebrate our impact in promoting positive mentoring relationships.
