We all know the power of a kind word, a listening ear, and a steady presence. Life brings challenges—but also moments of care, support, and hope.
The Devonport Chaplaincy team and many volunteers continue to walk alongside students, families, and staff, offering encouragement and strengthening our community in meaningful ways:
- A student struggling with anxiety found the courage to speak up because a chaplain simply took the time to listen.
- A teacher, overwhelmed by the weight of the day, was reminded they are seen and valued.
- A family facing hardship received the practical support they desperately needed.
Well into 2025 now, we’re expanding our support to help those facing barriers to employment through job placements, accredited training in hospitality, administration, and logistics, workplace transition plans, ongoing mentoring, and life-changing mentorship opportunities. Through Loaves and Fishes Tasmania, we’re also creating real job opportunities, ensuring people not only receive support but also a path to a better future.
Support our chaplains—whether by volunteering or giving. Together, we can continue making a lasting impact.
